- Walk through Disney Village, the free-to-enter promenade of shops and restaurants between the station and the gates, and note that Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park have separate entrances, so decide in advance which one you’ll visit first.
- For a genuinely local taste, look for Brie de Meaux AOC: the raw-milk cheese takes its name from Meaux, a town in the same département of Seine-et-Marne as the resort.
- Arrive by rail: Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station sits at the park gates, with RER A from central Paris and direct TGVs from cities such as Lyon, Marseille, Lille and Brussels.
- Paris's castle is a reimagined, larger version of the Disneyland original; for the park's first anniversary in 1993 it was dressed as a birthday cake, an idea later copied in Florida.
